Good morning Wyld Folk,
It’s a rainy October morning while I’m writing this. I’m a couple of days late in writing the September retrospective, for which I apologise. The simple reason is that my day job has become very busy and I’ve got a stinking cold.
What a month September was! Although outwardly we have been very quiet, we have been very busy behind the scenes.
Band of the Week
The Band of the week feature has returned, as promised, each week we select a band found on Wyldwood Radio and feature them in the stream and on our social media. Some bands are well known to many of our listeners, some are less well known or new. If you would like to suggest a band, please contact us here, on our website or via social media.
TuneIn
Right now we are completely confused as to what is happening with TuneIn. We were first alerted to an issue by a listener on Instagram. The stream was playing 1950s music, pop and other random stuff. Whilst I could hear the actual stream. We now do not know what’s actually happening with TuneIn. I have contacted them today about the issue, as we have 12,500 followers there, we cannot afford for them to push listeners away. It could be that our statistics (below) would be much higher without this issue. For now we have removed TuneIn from our website and are actively recommending to NOT use them. Instead we recommend our own player: https://wyldwood.torontocast.stream

This is incredible! We have grown so much!
