August Recap

Good morning Wyld Folk!

I’m writing to you on a much cooler day than last month; Autumn has begun to show itself here. Personally, I love the Autumn not only are we treated to the beautiful display of Autumnal colours and the cooler air, but there is always a sense of excitement for me, anticipation almost. The air smells fresher, more foresty… ok it might not be a real word, but I’m going to use it.

So, let’s look back over August shall we?

it has been two months since we relaunched the stream, so what are the statistics?

Statistics

So where do we end the first month?

  • Number of unique listeners: 263

  • Number of unique countries: 38

  • Number of unique cities: 189

This is incredible! Obviously we don’t know who our listeners are unless they contact us, but it means we have listeners in forty countries around the world!

Here are the top ten (in order) with most listeners:

USA, UK, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, France, Mexico, Brazil, Canada.

Here’s the map:

So what’s next?

The Band of the week feature will be returning from tomorrow. Every week we will choose a band from our playlist and highlight them on our Instagram and Facebook spaces. Their music will be more prevalent in the stream for the week also.

The idea is to draw attention to bands, some already quite famous, others less so.

A new video series will be starting in September, around the equinox. It’s a project I have been mulling over for more than a year, but has been put on the back-burner until recently. It will appear as video shorts / stories to begin with. A longer video might appear in the future if it seems that people enjoy it, and, crucially, if we raise enough funds for the equipment we need to make it.

Discord is disappearing

One thing that has been made clear is that nobody is interested in using the Discord perk offered as part of our memberships. As it has been two months without a single applicant. We will be retiring our Discord server as of today.

Thank you!
